Note: Unfortunately, remote opportunities outside Canada or without a valid work permit are not available at this time.   Position Summary: We are excited to expand our team by adding a full-time Software Developers who are proficient in developing solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O).   As a Software Developer specializing in D365 F&O, you will be at the forefront of creating and implementing high-quality software solutions embedded in D365 F&O. Reporting to the Development Team Lead, you will be responsible for tailoring software solutions, customizations, and enhancements to meet our clients' needs efficiently.   As a Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:   <ol> <li> Software Development:</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions, customizations, and enhancements for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.</li> <li>Utilize X++ and other tools to extend and enhance Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations capabilities.</li> <li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to meet project deadlines and client requirements.</li> <li>Conduct code review and refactoring according to company guidelines and best practices.</li> <li>Create external applications using .NET that interface seamlessly with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.</li> <li>Develop and maintain system design and user manual documentation.</li> <li>Use third party applications to integrate external systems with D365 F&O.</li> </ul>   <ol> <li> Quality Assurance and Performance Tuning:</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Test and analyze solutions for operational functionality.</li> <li>Optimize software solutions performance through tuning and improvements.</li> <li>Conduct unit testing, optimization, and performance tuning.</li> </ul>   <ol> <li> Support and Issue Resolution:</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Investigate, analyze, and replicate issues to provide effective support to customers.</li> <li>Manage escalations, troubleshoot, and use root cause analysis to solve level 2 tickets.</li> <li>Handle support tickets through troubleshooting, analysis, problem-solving, and client communication.</li> </ul>   <ol> <li> Pre-Sales and Customer Engagement:</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Assist in pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations and answering product-related questions.</li> <li>Conduct requirement gathering sessions and develop necessary documentation.</li> <li>Collect and evaluate user and stakeholder feedback.</li> <li>Develop and discuss system design documents and demo solutions to clients/stakeholders.</li> <li>Participate in Kaizen/Lean projects and retrospectives.</li> </ul>   <ol> <li> Research and Development:</li> </ol> <ul> <li>Conduct research on new features and enhancements.</li> <li>Stay updated on new technologies and tools from Microsoft and other technology providers.</li> </ul>   Technical Skills: <ul> <li>Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft X++ and .NET for developing applications on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.</li> <li>Experienced in working with Power Platform.</li> <li>Experience working with Agile tools such as Azure DevOp</li> <li>Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server, with the ability to develop stored procedures using Transact-SQL.</li> <li>Experience in integrating external applications with Dynamics 365 F&O is an asset.</li> </ul>   Education and Experience: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related business discipline, or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>4+ years of software development experience working D365 F&O/AX.</li> <li>Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations and/or Power Platform is an asset.</li> <li>Accounting certification is an asset.</li> </ul>   Compensation Package: At Binary Stream, we know compensation is important to our people. This data is used to regularly update our salary ranges.   Pay Range Insights: This pay range signifies the minimum and maximum for a new hire in this role. The pay we offer a successful candidate will be determined by factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. In exceptional cases, the compensation we offer may fall outside this range.
